Muses Announces 2026 Cup Winner

The Krewe of Muses is thrilled to announce this year’s cup design winner: Tallulah Michalopoulos, a 17-year-old senior at The Willow High School. Tallulah’s stunning design, created with felt-tipped pen and watercolor paints on paper, captures the essence of what makes the muses so captivating.

The Artist’s Vision

When asked about her inspiration, Tallulah shared her thoughtful approach to the design:

“When deciding on my design, I wanted to create an image highlighting the mysterious and possibly elusive nature of the muses, which is why they are pictured sitting in a greek bathhouse, with hazy reflections on the water. The water obscurely reflects each muse, symbolizing that while they do speak the truth, they may speak and present things that merely resemble the truth.”

What makes this achievement even more impressive? Tallulah created this evocative piece in just an hour and a half. Despite the time constraint, she remained committed to her artistic vision: “I wanted to make sure to rightfully present the mystery and allure of each of the nine muses.”

The design masterfully weaves together classical mythology with contemporary artistic techniques, creating a piece that honors both the ancient Greek muses and the modern spirit of the Krewe of Muses.
