The Throw Ordering Process

Each year the Krewe of Muses Throw Committee pulls together a unique offering of fabulous throws to make us stand out from the rest of the parades. The sale of throws is the most important revenue source for the krewe. Money raised keeps your dues low and ensures a fantastic parade. We strongly encourage all riding members to order from the krewe! Not only does this fund our parade but crowds on the street love Muse throws! If you are throwing recycled beads or non-Muse specialized beads you will not enjoy the same experience as the rest of the krewe.

The Krewe cannot guarantee receipt of items for any order received after the early order deadline. We run out every year, so order early! All members are eligible to purchase our throws but they are only available to members. All riding members receive a "member package" of special throws as part of their dues. This is a taste of a lot of special Krewe throws, but it is not even close to enough to throw during the parade, and is no substitute for buying a package.

The Krewe offers several packages of throws in varying sizes. When a member orders a package the package is delivered to the member's riding position on the float. It is labeled with your name and checked in by your float lieutenant. Some throws are only available in packages.

In addition to packages members may also order additional throws. You MUST pick up (or make an arrangement for someone else to pick up) your additional throws on Bead distribution day. These additional throws will not be delivered with your package.

Items ordered and not picked up on bead distribution day are subject to a late pickup fee, and later forfeited to the krewe to be resold to other members. No refunds will be given for items not picked up.

On Bead Distribution day you will also have the opportunity to purchase more throws but the quantities of extra throws are extremely limited so arrive early.
