It's Muses’ Silver Anniversary!
Muses turns 25 this year and wants to take this opportunity to give extra thanks to everyone who has made their parade happen over these past years. The past twenty-five years has been a labor of love for the many volunteering Muse sisters who dedicate endless hours to making the parade, choosing throws, working with charities, putting together events, and outdoing themselves year after year. Great love goes out from the krewe to the talented artists and sculptors who have brought the Muses parade vision to life. And a special appreciation for the Superheroes in the NOPD, NOFD, EMS and City of New Orleans who keep Mardi Gras rolling safely.
And for all of those who have come to the route year after year, through cold and rain and those perfect parade nights like tonight…Muses loves your enthusiastic cheers that have inspired the sisterhood for a quarter of a century. Time sure flies when you’re having fun!

Float 1 – The Goddessey
The Muses are patrons of the arts and sciences, of knowledge. Almost every element of this float is illuminated to demonstrate how knowledge brings things to light. The waterfall is mirrored and reflects the crowd as well as light. The Muses loved to frolic on Mt. Helicon in the springs created by Pegasus’ hooves. This float is a combination of the origins of Muses as well as what they represent. Float Introduced in 2018.
- Band – L.B. Landry High School Marching Band – Lead by Band Director Mr. Wilbert Rawlins

Nola Rising came home after Hurricane Katrina and opened her rotten, flooded refrigerator, thinking “How bad could it be?” We all know the answer to that! Float 21 – Super Costumes
Yes, kids, that’s a phone booth. In the old days it’s where we made phone calls when we were not at home.
